Correll Insurance Group has an immediate position for a full-time PL Insurance Processor in our Pawleys Island, SC location (Lowcountry Insurance & Financial Services).

Job Summary: 

The PL Insurance Processor will Assist the Personal Lines Account Management team in the production and service of new and existing accounts. Including professional customer service and all related functions of support for the book of business within the agency. Assist Account Managers to process applications for, changes to, reinstatement of, and cancellation of insurance policies. Duties include assisting the Account Managers reviewing insurance applications to ensure that all questions have been answered, compiling data on insurance policy changes, cancellations, reinstatements, etc., and verifying the accuracy of insurance company records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter detail for new business applications as needed
  • Setup Templates for Certificates of Insurance
  • Process change requests to the carrier and endorsements received from the carrier
  • Process incoming requests for additional information from the carriers
  • Prepare and assist Account Managers with renewal Summaries & Proposals
  • Modify, update, and process existing policies and claims to reflect any changes.
  • Process and record new insurance policies and claims.
  • Review and verify data, such as age, name, address, and principal sum, and value of property on insurance applications and policies.
  • Maintaining files for each policyholder.
  • Correspond with Account Manager to obtain information or inform them of account status or changes.
  • Other responsibilities as needed to support the Account Managers and other members of our office team.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years experiences of Customer Service experience (any industry) is preferred
  • Possess or able to obtain Property and Casualty Insurance License within 6-12 months of employment. Correll Insurance Group can assist in the scheduling of pre-licensing course(s), exam, application, etc.
