Walk For Apraxia

The largest fundraising and awareness event supporting children affected by childhood apraxia of speech across the US and Canada. This raises awareness in the community of resources available as well as support for individuals and families. Sandy and The Phoenix Company sponsor the walk-through radio station segments to raise awareness as well as participation. The Correll Foundation approved a $500 match!

Youth Villages

Provides in-home and residential treatment for children and young people throughout the US who experience emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges or abuse. SouthPoint Risk supports this charity through volunteering and sponsorship. Last year, a team of employees packed backpacks for the upcoming school year, and we also approved a $1,000 match!

Trellis Supportive Care

Provides hospice and palliative care services to individuals with serious illnesses and their families. The mission is to enhance the quality of life for patients facing advanced illness, focusing on comfort, dignity, and support. We approved a $2,000 match!

Seven Homes 

A non-profit organization in the state of NC trains qualified foster parents to provide a better childhood and prepare foster children for their adult future. They hold fundraisers to gather donations of clothes, school supplies, and money to improve the well-being of the children. Seven Homes is a client of The Phoenix Company. Last year, colleagues volunteered at their Back to School Bash fundraiser, which provided clothes, school supplies, food, and fun games for the foster children. We approved a $1,000 match!

Mending Hearts 

Helping women in the community restore their lives from addiction by providing safe housing, long-term treatment therapy programs, and skill-building classes that last up to two years. They also offer intensive family seminars for patients' families. They started with 4 halfway homes and now have more than 10, including 3 group houses and a detox center. They are currently in negotiations to open another detox center with 30+ beds. SouthPoint Risk sponsors breakfast annually and helps bring others to their program, as well as assisting in finding guest speakers and entertainment for events. We approved a $2,500 match!
