Leslie Russell

Leslie Russell serves as Controller for Correll Insurance Group. A North Carolina native, she was born in Greensboro and raised in Mint Hill and now resides in Kings Mountain. Leslie earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and holds CPA licenses in both North Carolina and South Carolina, along with the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. Since joining Correll Insurance Group in 2018, she brings nearly 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.

As Controller, Leslie oversees internal accounting functions and works closely with banking partners, vendors, carriers, and company personnel to ensure smooth financial operations. She values the close-knit team environment at Correll and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of integrity and accuracy in her work.

Outside of the office, Leslie enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, studying American history, and listening to country, bluegrass, and gospel music. She also enjoys following golf, as well as staying engaged with news and politics. A fun fact about Leslie is that she is distantly related to the gospel group The Hoppers.
